I’ve made so many excuses about my photos in the past and on these, I’m going with: “I was cold, hungry, and it was a Sunday.” In the future I promise better work. Though I want you to know I did sit down on the sidewalk for some pics. It smelled like ___.

Battery Park: Birds, Monuments, and NY Harbor
(Photos by Bald Punk – Seagull with Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in background)
The birds were flying around like crazy when I took these photos. There were so many chances for great photos of them swooping through the frame, yet I missed them by milliseconds. It was so bad I couldn’t even get a decent picture of a [...]
Battery Park
(Photos by Bald Punk – Universal Soldier)
Battery Park is a 25-acre park at the southern tip of Manhattan. It’s named so because an artillery battery was stationed there periodically by the Dutch and then the British in order to protect the settlers.
Here is another set of photos I took that day: Battery Place to Rector Street and Back.

Battery Place to Rector Street and Back
(Photos by Bald Punk – Greenwich Street/DMV)
For these photos I walked up Greenwich St., veered right onto Trinity Place, went up to Rector Street where I hung a left. Then I sauntered over to West Street, and hooked another left and tramped back down to Battery Place.

Documentaries are cool.
I like the fact that given modern software, one can create something along the lines of Ric or Ken Burns.
I love this little “film.”
This below photo from the 1920’s is one that I savor. It jumps off the page each time I look at it.

Central Park Trees
(Photos by Bald Punk)
I didn’t want these photos to be lost with the rest of the Central Park ones that I plan to post.
Most of them were taken by “The Mall.”
I’m going to link up all the photos in this series. Here is a list of the trees in Central Park.

Central Park by West 67th St

I took these photos the same day I took these: Bethesda Angel and Terrace in Central Park
There will be at least another post of Central Park photos from this set. I will link them all up. As I remember I made a right at “Shakespeare.” So that’s where it will pick up.

Bethesda Angel and Terrace in Central Park

Um, my shadows is in a lot of these pics. Sorry about that.
There were three differentcouples taking wedding photos and I couldn’t resist taking a could of snaps of them. I hope the brides were wearing long-johns under their gowns. It was about 25 degrees when I took [...]
