Most Holy Redeemer Church in the East Village

(Photos by Bald Punk)
I’ve made so many excuses about my photos in the past and on these, I’m going with: “I was cold, hungry, and it was a Sunday.” In the future I promise better work. Though I want you to know I did sit down on the sidewalk for some pics. It smelled like ___.

Battery Park: Birds, Monuments, and NY Harbor

(Photos by Bald Punk – Seagull with Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in background)
The birds were flying around like crazy when I took these photos. There were so many chances for great photos of them swooping through the frame, yet I missed them by milliseconds. It was so bad I couldn’t even get a decent picture of a [...]

Battery Park

(Photos by Bald Punk – Universal Soldier)
Battery Park is a 25-acre park at the southern tip of Manhattan. It’s named so because an artillery battery was stationed there periodically by the Dutch and then the British in order to protect the settlers.
Here is another set of photos I took that day: Battery Place to Rector Street and Back.
There will [...]

Rainbow over Staten Island

(Photos by Bald Punk – Rainbow over ShopRite parking lot)
I was warming up the car, waiting for my friends to come out of ShopRite, when I spotted the rainbow. I wished I was in a more photogenic place for the photos, but was happy all the same to get them. Though for groceries, ShopRite is one [...]

Battery Place to Rector Street and Back

(Photos by Bald Punk – Greenwich Street/DMV)
For these photos I walked up Greenwich St., veered right onto Trinity Place, went up to Rector Street where I hung a left. Then I sauntered over to West Street, and hooked another left and tramped back down to Battery Place.

I didn’t want these photos to be lost with the rest of the Central Park ones that I plan to post.
Most of them were taken by “The Mall.”
I’m going to link up all the photos in this series. Here is a list of the trees in Central Park.
