St Roch Church in the Bronx
(Photos by Bald Punk)
In this set of photos the birds were very cooperative. There is a beautiful Cardinal in two of them along with some pigeons and maybe a seagull or two that flapped into the frames. There’s even a cat who was lounging by an angel.
I took these photos at around 1pm last Sunday. It seemed odd that the church was locked up.

of course, cardinals love to hang around by churches!! 🙂
St. Roch’s was closed at 1:00P.M. because the last service starts at 11:00 A.m. but if you are interested in visiting the church, use the Rectory entrance and you will be able to go to the church. The Church is very inviting and friendly to visitors and parishioners. There is a sence of family and you really feel welcome. I hope you come back and mingle and enjoy the visit, I guarantee you are going to come back. Hope to see you soon.
