GREENPOINT
(Photos by Bald Punk – click twice to fully enlarge)
This post will have loads of photos. I won’t finish today. I’m going to the Stadium for the first time this year to see the Yanks play.
My grandparents lived on Dupont Street for over 50 years.

Update: I’m finished posting pictures of Greenpoint. I have so many more, but I have to move onto the next post. I loved how the colors of the buildings on Manhattan Ave “popped.” You can sort of see it in the photos. I totally messed up of the ‘front shot’ of St. Anthony’s. I should have moved to my left to avoid the scaffolding. I had a bag of groceries(fruit and pickles if you must know) on the roof of my car down the block . . .
My Polish grandmother was a parishioner of SS Cyril & Methodius (only grammar school is pictured) and my Russian grandfather went to the Russian Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord(pictured below). According to my mother, he was required to attend only once a year at Easter. She also said back then the church had no seats.
